Atreus Systems, BEA Systems Partner to Streamline the Delivery of Next Generation Telecom Services

Atreus SystemsTM, a leading supplier of provisioning software for VoIP and IMS-based services, announced on May 21st a strategic alliance with BEA Systems, Inc., a world leader in enterprise and communications infrastructure software, to build a Service Oriented Architecture-based integration between the Atreus xAuthorityTM IP Provisioning Solution and the BEA Liquid Services Framework. Atreus and BEA are joining forces to help service providers accelerate service rollout on a global basis.

The integrated Atreus-BEA solution will offer providers a flexible and scalable environment that encompasses all aspects of business process management, including process modeling, implementation, execution and monitoring. By optimizing the entire business process lifecycle, the joint solution will empower service providers to develop and deploy revenue-generating VoIP, mobile, and IMS applications rapidly and cost-effectively.

Leveraging industry standards, such as OSS/J and eTOM, Atreus and BEA aim to help providers migrate from today's vertically integrated provisioning systems to a flexible and extensible service oriented architecture-an essential prerequisite for the successful delivery of IP and IMS-based services. The adoption of this architecture enables service providers to rapidly roll out next-generation services while leveraging and protecting their existing investments.
