SEC Baseball Tournament, also called Big 12 (East) baseball tournament announced the player of the week: Dominic de la Osa "¢ Vanderbilt and Junior "¢ OF "¢ Coral Gables, Fla.

Dominic hit game-winning homers in both the Friday and Saturday games at SEC Baseball Tournament against LSU to lead the Commodores to their third straight SEC series sweep at home last weekend and first ever SEC regular season championship. For the weekend de la Osa was 5-for-11 (.455) with two homers, a double and three RBIs with two stolen bases.

He finished the regular season as the team's leader in batting average at .387 and homers with 17 while also stealing 18 bases. One of just seven players nationally to have 15 or more HRs and 15 or more SBs.

Pitched the Rebels to a series clinching win in the season finale at #9 Arkansas as he worked 7.0 innings and allowed only two hits in a combined shutout of the Razorbacks. Worked the Rebels out of four jams as he stranded four Arkansas batters at third base to preserve the Ole Miss shutout. It was the seoncd combined shutout Bukvich was involved with in SEC play.

With the win, the Rebels have now posted four-straight series wins over Arkansas dating back to the 2004 season.The win also moved the Rebels to 14-9 against ranked foes this season, the best record against the top25 in the SEC and was the sixth series win over a ranked opponent out of seven series against ranked foes.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK AT SEC BASEBALL TOURNAMENT
Jeff Lockwood "¢ Tennessee
DH/LHP "¢ Knoxville, Tenn.

Tennessee's bullpen ace and starting designated hitter, Lockwood's arm was crucial to the Volunteers' road series win at Florida last weekend. The true freshman logged saves in both of UT's wins, including 2.2 innings of no-hit action during Saturday's victory that earned Tennessee a spot in the SEC Tournament.

His series pitching stats included a 2.25 ERA in four innings, with one hit, one earned run, three walks and seven strikeouts. The Gators hit just .083 against him. In addition to notching his seventh and eighth saves of the season, Lockwood three hits and an RBI at the plate. - SEC Baseball Tournament Press
