Japan To Develop Vietnamese Field

Japanese oil firm Nippon Oil Corp. said on Thursday, May 24th that it has begun development of an oil field offshore Vietnam.

The Phuong Dong is expected to start commercial production at the end of September 2008.

The output at initial stages is expected to be 23,000 barrels per day of oil equivalent, the company said in a statement. -neftegaz.ru
