Fatemeh Angela Harkness Pleads Guilty for NASCAR Fraud

Fatemeh Angela Harkness, who is only thirty-one-years old is sentenced to three years and four months in federal prison for conspiring with banker Gary Jones to embezzle more than one million dollars from a bank to start own Nascar RACING TEAM.

Houston Chronicle based on AP writes that Harkness and Jones used the money to assemble a NASCAR team called Angela's Motorsports. The team, featuring driver Mike McLaughlin, entered cars in the Busch Grand National Series starting in late 2002.

According to AP report Fatemah Angela Harkness before her sentencing in 2004 fled to Mexico and from there to United Arab Emirates. However, later she returned to USA and surrendered last month.

Blogger shannon Anicas Tallmadge from Ohio writes that the Iranian-born Fatemah Angela Harkness was taken into custody as soon as her flight from Dubai touched down at JKF International Airport in New York City, this was based on an information provided by Timothy Hughes, a spokesman for the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force. - By HULIQ.com based on agency reports.
