
At the invitation of Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran Manouchehr Mottaki, the delegation of Republic of Armenia's Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanyan visited Iran on December 17.
The Foreign Ministers of the two countries mentioned that after the visit of the RA President to Iran several construction projects are realized. The sides also discussed issues about perspectives of enhancing cooperation in the energy field.
The Ministers referred to regional problems exchanging thoughts about the developments in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Near East. Possibilities of cooperating in the international structures were also discussed. Minister Oskanyan represented the recent developments about the settlement of the Karabakh conflict.
Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanyan was also received by Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Referring to the historical-cultural friendship of the two countries, the Foreign Minister underlined that the links are a powerful ground for the development of the relations which form in the atmosphere of mutual trust and respect.
