Lindsay Lohan, 20, an actress and pop music singer, crashed her 2005 Mercedes SL-65 on Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles when driving back home after a party at Los Angeles nightclub Les Deux. She was driving under the influence of intoxicants.
Early in the morning at 5:30 a.m. Sgt. Mike Foxen of the Beverly Hills Sheriff's Department got a phone call from a witness of the crash. When the police officers came to the place of the accident, they found the Lindsay's car crashed into a bush.
Lindsay was under influence of cocaine and her blood-alcohol level was high, but Sheriff's Department doesn't comment on this matter. The star had minor chest injuries, her two passengers were not injured at all.
Police officers took Lohan to a hospital to get proper medical treatment, after they arrested her. The case will be presented District Attorney's Office to calculate the star's charge.
Lindsay Lohan has a rich alcohol and car accident related background. She is a hard party lover. Her party friend is Paris Hilton, the heiress to the Hilton hotel fortune, who has to stay in jail till June 5th because of driving under the influence.
Earlier in May Lohan was sued by photographer Giovanni Arnold for injuring him while driving drunk. The photographer said that the star and her mother were "negligent, careless and reckless", and that the accident injured him personally and financially.
In 2005 Lindsay crashed a minivan with paparazzi trying to make a photo of her. The minivan was following her from Los Angeles restaurant. Later in October 2005 Lohan again crashed a van with paparazzi at West Hollywood. But police officers found that the star innocent in both cases.
Lindsay Lohan recently announced that she was attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and her publicist Leslie Sloane Zelnik confirmed that.
