
True North Gems (TGX -- TSX:V) is pleased to announce the engagement of Wardrop Engineering Inc. (Wardrop) to act as independent consultants for the completion of a Preliminary Assessment of the Company's Aappaluttoq Ruby Project located near the village of Fiskenaesset on the southwest coast of Greenland.
Wardrop has been active in the mining industry since early 1960, delivering critical engineering and environmental services to an impressive list of mining clients with projects around the globe. Within the last five years Wardrop's mining division has grown to over 300 professionals in geology, mining, processing, multi-disciplined engineering and support services. Wardrop is known for success in assisting the junior mining industry move development projects forward from grassroots exploration, to pre-feasibility, feasibility, detailed engineering, procurement, construction management and ultimately, operations.

In 2006, at total of 58,108 grams of gem grade ruby were recovered from a 30 tonne surface bulk sample extracted at Aappaluttoq, indicating a grade of 1,937 grams gem per tonne for the sample. Independent valuations of polished gemstones produced from of 361.7 grams of the Aappaluttoq material processed thus far have contributed US$40,066 to the overall value of the bulk sample (see press release May 14, 2007). The processing and valuation of additional gem ruby from the 2006 Aappaluttoq bulk sample is in progress and results from this work will be released as information becomes available.
The planning and execution of the ruby exploration and quality control programs at the 2007 Greenland ruby project are under the supervision of Greg Davison, P.Geo., True North Gems VP Exploration. Mr. Davison is a qualified person as defined by National Instrument 43-101. -True North Gems
