'Kids Go' Series At Strong National Museum Of Play

Join forces with the CyberSquad-Matt, Inez, Jackie, and their cyberbird pal Digit-in their quest to save Cyberspace as they blast off into Cyberchase-The Chase Is On!, an out-of-this-world, educational exhibit opening at Strong National Museum of Play June 2 and continuing through September 3, 2007.

Based on the award-winning PBS KIDS GO! math mystery cartoon Cyberchase, the bilingual (English/Spanish) exhibit presents math in a fun, kid-friendly environment, allowing kids to use their critical thinking skills and approach math with an investigative, positive attitude. Become part of the classic good vs. evil adventure as the dastardly Hacker attempts to overtake Cyberspace, but is continually outsmarted by three curious kids and their cyberbird pal who are determined to stop him.

Guests enter Cyberspace through a special portal to explore favorite cybersites, including Control Central, the Grim Wreaker and Poddleville. Kids and families can help the CyberSquad protect the virtual universe from the villainous Hacker while exploring math concepts such as place value, algebra, geometry, fractions and probability.

Using their brain power, kids are invited to solve a variety of challenges as they:

"¢ Reinstall the "power circuits" removed by the dastardly Hacker in Restore the Power

"¢ Pedal and store a million energy units with the Cyber Cycle

"¢ Prevent Hacker's rocket from reaching Motherboard at Control Central and explore probability in Stop the Launch

"¢ Strategize a winning plan in the Dragon Dilemma problem-solving challenge

"¢ Create three-dimensional structures at Build a City

"¢ And hone their navigational skills at Trailing Icky, where they can use grids and landmarks as reference tools to locate cyberslug Icky in the watery depths of Aquari-yum.

Cyberchase-The Chase Is On! was developed by the Children's Museum of Houston in partnership with Thirteen/WNET New York with major funding from the National Science Foundation. Cyberchase is produced by Thirteen/WNET New York and Nelvana Limited and can be seen nationally on PBS KIDS GO! and locally at 3:30 p.m. on WXXI-TV 21 (cable 11). The exhibit is made possible in Rochester in part by AT&T. -- www.strongmuseum.org
