Fred Thompson's Congressional Support Grows for 08 Elections

The Draft Fred Thompson 2008 Committee announced today that U.S. Representative Steve Buyer, Ranking Member of the House Veterans' Affairs Committee, has joined the committee's Leadership Team. Rep. Buyer is a Distinguished Military Graduate of the Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina , a decorated veteran of Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm, and a Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves.

As the former Chairman, and now Ranking Member, of the House Veterans' Affairs Committee, Buyer is a recognized leader in supporting our nation's 26 million veterans. Buyer is also Co-Chairman of the House Guard and Reserves Components Caucus where he promotes the tremendous importance of our military's Guard and Reserve units.
