Does International Community Misunderstand Armenia and Karabakh?

Expressing opinion concerning the international response to the constitutional referendum in Nagorno Karabakh, Serge Sargsian, Armenian Defence Minister, said that an impression is shaped that a the leadership of number of international structures misunderstand.

"Some may think that an independence referendum was held in Nagorno Karabakh, while they merely ratified the main law of their country," said Armenian Defence Minister.

At the same time, Mr. Sargsian emphasized that if someone isn't interested in Nagorno karabakh's having a constitution, it's quite another issue.

He added, that personally, he accepts the NATO position on the abovementioned issue. "The Nagorno Karabakh issue is being considered within the framework of the OSCE Minsk group, and NATO doesn't interfere with the negotiations," he underscored.
