The New South Wales Transport Minister, John Watkins, says he will consider issuing bus drivers with DNA kits so passengers who spit on them can be traced by police.
New figures suggest Sydney's bus drivers are regularly spat on and assaulted.
Mr Watkins says he wants the possibility of using DNA kits to be explored
"It's one of the things that I'll ask John Lee from State Transit and certainly the Ministry of Transport to report to me, on if we can find a use of technology that enable us to catch those people that are assaulting bus driver and their patrons," he said. - ABC Australia
