Escape the heat at the Museum of Tropical Queensland (MTQ) and receive a double pass to the premiere of Ben Stiller's new movie 'Night at the Museum'.
Between Monday 18 and Friday 22 December, visitors who experience the Ned Kelly: Fact and Fiction travelling exhibition and participate in Ned Kelly craft activities have the chance to see the 'Night at the Museum' premiere at Reading Cinemas on Saturday 23 December.
MTQ Director Sally Lewis said with Christmas just around the corner, it's a great time to participate in educational activities that are free and fun for the whole family.
"The Museum has plenty of activities to keep the whole family occupied and we expect our Ned Kelly craft activities which include creating your own Ned Kelly Mask; Finger Puppets and retracing Ned Kelly's steps in a dot-to-dot puzzle to be very popular," Ms Lewis said.
'Night at the Museum' opens on 26 December in cinemas nationwide. Giveaway tickets are limited, so please get in early. (Maximum of one double pass per family) 'Night at the Museum' features good-hearted dreamer Larry Daley (Ben Stiller) who accepts what appears to be a menial job as a graveyard-shift security guard at a museum of natural history. During Larry's watch, extraordinary things begin to occur: Roman Gladiators and cowboys emerge from their diorama to wage epic battles; a Neanderthal burns down his own display; and a T-Rex reminds everyone why he's history's fiercest predator. Live the adventure as history comes alive!
Entry to the Museum of Tropical Queensland is free for residents of local councils through the Council Community Pass, generously supported by Townsville, Thuringowa, Burdekin, Charters Towers and Dalrymple councils.
