The Company intends to demonstrate airship technologies developed by Sanswire Networks, its wholly-owned subsidiary, integrated with its proprietary HotZone(TM) wireless communications technology to support Maritime Domain Awareness and Maritime Security.
Trident Warrior is a series of events co-sponsored by the Naval Network Warfare Command and the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command to test FORCEnet capabilities in an operational environment. FORCEnet is the core of Sea Power 21 and Naval Transformation, and is the Navy and Marine Corps vehicle to make Network Centric Operations/Warfare an operational reality. According to the Navy, FORCEnet is regarded as "the command and control pillar that gives speed and agility to the commander who can then optimally employ Sea Strike, Sea Shield, and Sea Basing by integrating weapons, sensors, reachback centers, and warfighters at all levels into a secure networked, distributed combat force, as part of the Global Information
Grid."
The predominant theme of TW08 will be Maritime Domain Awareness with specific interest in Coalition Collaboration and Maritime Headquarters with Maritime Operation Centers issues, which include, among others, determining the requisite amount, composition and disposition of data correlation/fusion needed for Global Maritime Operations Centers supporting Maritime Domain Awareness, developing practical methods to improve interoperability between the U.S. Navy and potential coalition partners navies supporting the 1000 Ship Navy strategy; and the improvement of platform tactical communication networks performance, security and interoperability.
Peter Khoury, Chief Executive Officer of GlobeTel Communications, stated, "We're once again honored to have been accepted into an important military demonstration, following our acceptance into CWID (Coalition Warrior Interoperability Demonstration), and we intend to showcase the benefits of our technologies specifically for the achievement of maritime objectives both as standalone systems and as integrated with those of other Trident Warrior '08 participants." -Globe Tel Communications
