Norway, Russia Solved 50 Year Dispute

Norway and Russia have reached an agreement on the disputed borderline in the Varangerfjord, which opens into the Barents Sea.

Prime Minister of Norway Jens Stoltenberg made this announcementin Moscow on Friday, June 8th during his official visit to Russia, after his meeting with his Russian colleague, Mikhail Yefimovich Fradkov.

The two nations have disagreed about this borderline for 50 years.

Stolteberg hopes the agreement will have a positive influence on the negotiations about a final delimitation line between Norway and Russia in the Barents Sea. -Neftegaz.ru
