The "Tomosha"Â Children's Folklore Theater was established in 1988 by Nodira Kurbanova who dreamt of theatrical production, being a student of the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan. Having completed her education, she picked up a group of children from a music school. N. Kurbanova staged her debut performance on stories about Hodja Nasreddin. Her first theatrical experience was a great success. It confirmed her idea of that one must be taught acting skills from their childhood. "It is important to determine their talent and help them to develop it"Â, she says.
N. Kurbanova is laboriously learning the Uzbek folklore and peculiarities of national suits of various Uzbek regions, she writes scenarios of her performances and children artistically perform the reproduced lost national customs and traditions. There are no soloists in this theater because every participant is absorbed in their work. All children are equally talented.
