Paris was allowed to go home and spend the rest of her 45-day sentence under home arrest after staying in jail only for three days. But later she was ordered to court and give proper explanations about that decision.
The judge decided to order her back to jail, and Paris went into hysteric right at the court. "It's not fair, It's not right" she said: "I'm not the same person I was. I used to act dumb. It was an act. I am 26 years old, and that act is no longer cute. Now, I would like to make a difference. God has given me this new chance."
But the judge showed that law is a fair thing and it treats celebrities the way it treats general citizens, so Paris went back to the jail.
Hilton described the time she spent in jail like "by far the hardest thing I have ever done". "I was not eating or sleeping. I was severely depressed and felt as if I was in a cage," she said. "It was a horrible experience."
But maybe the worst thing that happened to her in the jail was that she was not allowed to wear make-up. She was in a gray suit and did not look like a girl from a glamorous party at all.
"I'm not that superficial girl,"Â she said. "I haven't looked in the mirror since I got here."
