Pirated Documentary Sicko On YouTube

YouTube users could watch Michael Moore's health documentary Sicko's pirated version for free. But sooner the video sharing website pulled out the movie from the web.

Sicko's pirated version lasted 124 minutes. The documentary was divided into 14 parts, each of the parts was viewed 500-600 time before being removed.

Weinstein movie studio is the distributor of $9 million documentary and it forced YouTube to remove the pirated copy.

"From our research it is clear that people interested in the healthcare movement are excited to go to the theater so they can be part of the experience and fight to reform health care," said Weinstein studio spokeswoman Sarah Rothman.

Meantime Michael Moore is not that worried about the pirated version of his documentary.

"I don't agree with the copyright laws and I don't have a problem with people downloading the movie and sharing it with people as long as they're not trying to make a profit off my labor," he said.

The movie was previously scheduled for June 29th, but later the release date was canceled because of Government's investigation on Moore's travel to Cuba with the filmmaking group.

The same happened with Moore's earlier documentary Fahrenheit 9/11. It was released in 2004 and was also available on the web before official release. Despite of that, the movie earned $119 that gives hope to Sicko.

After pirated copy of Sicko was pulled out of YouTube, come other video sharing website counted about 3400 copies of the health documentary available and about 2000 downloads in progress. For HULIQ.COM
