Lenten Mission in Hickory, NC Gathers Large Crowd

St. Aloysius in Hickory, NC is hosting a Lenten Mission, “Forgiveness Leads to Wellness and Joy,” for three evenings, March 7 – 9 from 7 – 8 pm. Each night focuses on a different part of forgiveness. “What is Forgiveness and Why is it so Difficult to Practice?”, “Living the Truth: The Only Environment for Forgiveness”, and “Practical Ways to Increase the Joy which Follows Forgiveness” are the three teachings.

The speaker, Fr. Dennis Corrado, was born and raised in New York City. Ordained in 1970 and trained in communications and theology; he worked for twelve years at St. James Cathedral and in 1990 founded the Oratory Church of Saint Boniface and Provost in downtown Brooklyn. Fr. Corrado travels the country during the 40 days of the Lenten season to help us learn to forgive and find joy in our lives.

Wednesday night’s mission will end with a Pontifical Blessing from Fr Corrado. There will be series CDs and DVDs for sale. This special Lenten Mission is open to the public. St. Aloysius is located at 921 Second St NE, Hickory, NC. For more information, call the church office at (828) 327-2341.
