Google is expanding YouTube video sharing web site and is offering it in 9 languages, specially oriented on Europe.
Google has acquired YouTube last October and now is thinking of making money with the help of the video sharing website. The first step is to involve more and more users from all over the world, and a special target now is Europe.
Local language versions of YouTube are already available in Britain, Brazil, France, Ireland, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Poland and Spain. The German version is scheduled to be available soon.
"YouTube will now be more accessible and interesting to a worldwide audience, and we look forward to rolling out in other countries in the months to come," Chad Hurley, YouTube's co-founder.
The second point of Google is 'YouTube on every screen'. The most active tendency in the consumer electronics' market is compatibility.
"The big thing for us in 2007 is accessibility-the goal is to put YouTube on every screen," says YouTube's other co-founder Steve Chen.
YouTube users now want the video sharing site available not only on their PCs, but also on handheld players, smart phones, and the most important on the TVs. For this reason Google is signing contract with different TV companies to make their services compatible.
Google already has a deal with Apple TV product to put YouTube videos on it. Other partnership agreements include companies such as international BBC, French all news channel France 24 and the French public-service television company France Televisions, the Spanish channels Antena 3 and Cuatro TV, European soccer clubs Chelsea, AC Milan, Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Some non-profit organizations are also among the Google's partner companies such as Greenpeace, Friends of the Earth, UNHCR, and Medecins du Monde (Doctors without Borders).
Google's main aim is to make YouTube video sharing web site available on different languages around the world and on different consumer electronic devices to involve more users and provide with better services. For HULIQ.com
