Evan (Steve Carell) is a newly elected Congressman, who really wants to change the world and do something useful. He has a cute family: wife Joan (Lauren Graham) and the kids.
But one day everything gets changed when God (Morgan Freeman as usual) comes to Evan with wood, construction stuff, and even a guidebook 'Ark-Building for Dummies' and orders him to build an ark. After couples of animals such as squirrels and skunks follow Evan waiting for the ark be ready.
Evan's hair and beard start growing and growing, he puts on a rube every morning and goes to build the ark as God has told. Actually he has no choice, because God forces him to do that.
Evan's family starts thinking he is in deep mental condition, and the same opinion have employees at the office. Evan himself doesn't believe that the God who appeared to him is the real one.
Things are going really crazy in Evan's life, he tries to build the ark and at the same time don't loose his family and his office job.
'Evan Almighty' is the creation of Tom Shadyac who directed 'Bruce Almighty' God story and 'Ace Ventura: Pet Detective' with Jim Carrey starring, as well as 'Liar Liar' comedy.
The $175 million comedy has rich computer animations of animals and biblical environment. 'Evan Almighty' runs 90 minutes and is PG rated for mild rude humor and some peril. For HULIQ.com
