Trend Orix Corporation ("Trend Orix") and NEC Corporation ("NEC") today announced the start of a strategic relationship enabling Trend Orix to incorporate NEC's state-of-the-art application performance analysis software technology, Mevalet, into its application performance solutions.
The agreement empowers Trend Orix to tightly integrate NEC's Mevalet technology and provide marketing, sales, services, and technical support in the local market.
"This strategic partnership with Trend Orix allows us to accelerate the spread of our innovative Mevalet technology in the North American market and provides us with a strong foothold locally," said Nik Kishinoue, General Manager, Software Development Environment Engineering Division, NEC Corporation. "For over a decade, we have focused on the research and development of the most advanced application performance trace and analysis solutions in the market, and are confident that Mevalet will become a market-leader in this arena."
"We designed NEC's IP licensing strategy to provide entrepreneurs with early access to our innovations and expertise. The Trend Orix team's strong background in application performance is a natural fit for our Mevalet technology. We are very excited by the prospects for Mevalet in the US and look forward to working with Trend Orix," said Donald Clark, Director of IPR Commercialization Group, NEC Corporation of America.
The technology solutions created as a result of the alliance will provide added benefits to customers such as acceleration of problem resolution by ability to identify and pinpoint application components causing slow-downs in business transactions, as well as visibility into transaction flow across the infrastructure.
"Mevalet is a proven technology and has demonstrated its value for NEC as well as many of the NEC customers in Japan," said Bruce Huang, Founder and CEO of Trend Orix. "This new relationship is welcomed by customers because it delivers ease-of-use innovations in application performance analysis with instant customer value."
