Committee Releases Witness List for Caller ID Spoofing Hearing

The hearing will examine legislation introduced by Senator Bill Nelson ( D-Fla. ), S. 704, the Truth in Caller ID Act of 2007. The Act seeks to protect consumers from deceptive practices involving caller identification information, which is also known as caller ID spoofing.

The hearing, originally titled Caller ID Spoofing and Number Porting, will not examine number porting.
