'A Mighty Heart' - Movie About Murdered Journalist

'A Mighty Heart' is a drama movie in a documentary style with Angelina Jolie starring. The film raises political question, but Jolie's presence makes the movie very sensitive and shows that she can really act.

Angelina Jolie stars as Mariane Pearl, the wife of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl (Dan Futterman). Islamic militants kidnap and behead Daniel Pearl because he is Jewish. They have the video tape of the killing.

The couple lives in Karachi, Pakistan and Mariane Pearl was six month pregnant. This is their first child - a boy, and Daniel wanted to name him Adam.

Once on January 23, 2002 Daniel meets Muslim religious leader at a restaurants for an interview concerning attacks of September 11 and he doesn't come home. Mariane is hopelessly waiting for his phone call, but Daniel doesn't call adn even doesn't come back home.

Mariane, who is a journalist for French radio herself, starts her own investigation to find her husband. Her old friend and colleague Asra Nomani (Archie Panjabi) helps her with investigation, but later other editors, Pakistani police and ambassadors get involved.

"The kidnappers, their whole point is to terrorize people," Jolie's Mariane tells friends after they learn of Danny's death. "I am not terrorized, and you should not be terrorized."

'A Mighty Heart' runs 108 minutes. The movie is produced by Brad Pitt and directed by Michael Winterbottom. For HULIQ.com
