Thai Prime Minister Surayad Chulanont will hold bilateral talks on Tuesday with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who will host a banquet in his honour later in the day.

A Memorandum of Understanding on Enhanced Cooperation in the field of renewable energy and a pact on cultural programme will be inked during the visit of Chulanont.

Chulanont will be accompanied by Foreign Minister Nitya Pibulsonggram, Minister of Commerce Krirk-Krai Jirapaet and Energy Minister Piyasvasti Amranand.

Besides calling on President A P J Abdul Kalam, the visiting dignitaries will hold discussions on related issues with External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee, Commerce Minister Kamal Nath, Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy Vilas Muttemwar and Leader of Opposition L K Advani.

The Thai Prime Minister is also scheduled to address a Business Summit hosted by the CII, FICCI and the ASSOCHAM on Tuesday.

Chulanont will also travel to Varanasi, Sarnath and Kolkata during his three-day stay. - DDNEWS India
