In 1963 there were only 417 mating pares of bald eagle in lower 48 states. But today the number of pairs is 10000. Environmental organizations are proud of this achievement.

In Florida bald eagles live and prosper for about a decade. Now the number of breeding bird pairs is 1500. This is the 12 percent of the birds from all 48 lower states. Florida can be proudly recognized as the mostly bird populated state.

The decline of birds came in the years when birds were targeted by hunters and later became victim by DDT. In 1940 Congress passed a low to recognize eagle hunt as illegal.

Later in 1995 bald eagle was included in Endangered Species Act’s endangered species list..

Now the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will take care about bald eagle and will keep the bird out of Endangered Species Act endangered species list.
