Rap Artist MC Breed Dies

Flint native and rap artist famous for the hit "Ain't No Future In Yo Frontin' MC Breed has died. The rap artist died of kidney failure.

MC Breed had been hospitalized since September when he was put on life support for kidney disease. Breed died earlier this morning at a friend's home in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

The rap artist had been playing basketball on September 5th when his kidneys failed and he collapsed causing the rap artist to be placed on life support. Recently, MC Breed was dealing with a health issues and a benefit concert had been scheduled to help pay his medical bills. However, that was put on hold when he made a miraculous recovery.

MC Breed was born Eric Breed in Flint, Michigan and had been a rap artist for 15 years. His musical resume included working with Tupac and Too $hort. According to reports, MC Breed was in the process of resigning with Icibahn records, the same label that released his first major hit "Ain't No Future In Yo Frontin'."

Even though he worked with many top rappers, Warren G., D.O.C. and others, MC Breed never captured mainstream success. His scratchy voiced flow was the 36 year old rappers trademark.

During the course of his 20 year career, MC Breed recorded 13 albums, releasing new material once a year for 10 years straight. In 2004, MC Breed released his last album "The New Prescription."
