Michelle Obama has silenced naysayers by wearing a stunning design by Isabel Toledo. Many fashion pundits were wondering what the new First Lady would be wearing on inauguration day, and now their curiosities have been put to rest. Michelle will bring fashion back to the White House.

First Lady Michelle Obama was sporting a gold dress with the matching coat and green shoes. The shoes complimented the gloves she was wearing, and quite frankly the first lady looks stunning according to what some readers are saying on the Huffington Post:

Chicagominx said: “LOVE the outfit. Jill Biden looks sensational too. Gorgeous next to dowdy Laura Bush and (ugh) Lynn Cheney.”

While PoliticalRockChick said: “green shoes go with the gloves. Amazing.”

It seems lots of attention will be paid to Michelle Obama’s fashion sense over the next four years. She will garner as much attention as her history making husband. Some have even compared Michelle Obama’s sense of fashion with former first lady Jackie Kennedy.

The designer, Isabel Toledo is a Cuban born American fashion designer based out of New York. She was a former creative director for Anne Klein until 2007. Michelle Obama has worn her designs before; in June 2008, the first lady wore a black outfit to a fashion world fund raiser designed by Toledo.
