Live Earth organizers announced on July 4th that music legend Yusuf (formerly Cat Stevens), rapper, actor and television personality Xzibit, and electronica artist Kenna will be joining the blockbuster line-ups of performers at the Live Earth concerts in Hamburg, Tokyo and New York, respectively. Organizers also announced that a limited number of tickets are available for each show.
The 24-hour Live Earth concert series will begin in Sydney, Australia on July 7, 2007 and continue across all 7 continents with events in Tokyo, Japan; Shanghai, China; Hamburg, Germany; Johannesburg, South Africa; London, United Kingdom; and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, before concluding at Giants Stadium in New York, United States.
"Live Earth is about engaging a global movement of people to take action against the climate crisis," Live Earth Founder and Producer Kevin Wall said. "The addition of a music legend like Yusuf and latest sensations like Xzibit and Kenna to Live Earth stages around the world helps us reach millions more people across the globe with the Live Earth message."
