On the first days of his visit, Mr.Jin met with the Uzbek Minister of Foreign Economic Relations, Investment and Trade Elyor Ganiyev where the sides focused on the current state of affairs in bilateral relations between the Bank and Uzbekistan corresponding institutions as well as outlined essential directions of further collaboration in the future. ADB’s Voce President’s visit also included his participation in the opening ceremony of the Round Table Meeting of the Arab Coordination Group, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

ADB has a good partnership with the Islamic Development Bank through its Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Program. It seeks to further enhance its cooperation with Arab financial institutions involved in development assistance to ADB’s developing member countries and the round table in Uzbekistan serves as a good platform for strengthening such partnership, experts maintain.
