Sicko: Healthcare Is Not Fair

Michael Moore’s documentary ‘Sicko’ raises important healthcare questions that certainly need to be answered.

The movie is very actual, because it raises concerns about those US citizens who are not properly treated because of health insurance problems.

"This film has more universality to it than anything I've done," says Moore. "Everyone has had some kind of problem with health insurance, or knows someone who has."

Michael Moore brings Canada, England, France healthcare systems as examples of good structures. His main aim is to open everybody’s eyes on one of the biggest problems US citizens have: healthcare.

The amount of money spent for healthcare needs is about $2.1 trillion a year. It is the 16 percent of entire US economy. Meanwhile the 40 percent of the money is being spent on administrative needs, rather than on medicine, doctors, nurses.

Press and public are actively discussing Moore’s documentary and the opinions are mainly negative. But as Moore says, these opinions are result of press opinion. Most of public have not yet seen the newly released documentary, but they already have their opinion. The only thing Moore wants is just to watch the movie and make their own opinion about it.

Michael Moore’s documentary comes to raise these questions and to make people think about healthcare reforms, so that US citizens can be fairly treated in case of need. HULIQ
