Miami Airport Fire: Tower burning

Smoke and flames in Miami airport can be seen from the structure which is under construction, unoccupied and not in use, according to authorities. CNN is reporting the tower would be used for airport gate assignments.

One of the old air control towers at Miami International Airport is on fire. The fire is being put out by firefighters. I work at the airport and I will load pictures as soon as I get some. It has not hit the news yet. Since it is a secondary tower, the airport is not closed and planes are still landing (I just heard a jet land). This report is from Democratic Underground.

AP reports that "Fire broke out Wednesday at a private ground traffic control tower under construction at Miami International Airport, injuring one worker."
