Moore Leaves Microsoft For Electronic Arts

Peter Moore, Microsoft Xbox and Games chief, will leave the company to join Electronic Arts, the world’s largest computer game maker.

Peter Moore will lead Electronic Arts’s Sports label. He has a very rich professional experience and a good reputation.

He is also a big fan of sports and a former football player. He has been previously working in that sphere including: physical education teacher in England, study of psychology and sociology of sport, president of Patrick sportswear company in US, senior vice-president of marketing at Reebok sports shoes. So this is going to be a dream job for him.

"We're thrilled, he's someone I've tried to recruit for the best part of a decade," said Electronic Arts Chief executive John Riccitiello.

John Riccitiello considered all internal and external possible candidates and decided Peter Moore to be the most appropriate one.

Peter Moore will leave Microsoft on September 1st, and Don Mattrick will come instead of him on July 30. Don Mattrick is a former Electronic Arts world wide studios’ head. He has been with Microsoft during the past six months as an adviser

"Peter has been a central part of what we have created with Xbox and I'm sad to see him leave. I wish he could continue to be here, but he is passionate about sports and will still be working with us as a partner," said the president of Microsoft's Entertainment and Devices division. HULIQ
