The three month long 'India Now Festival' begins in London marked by a replica of the monument of love, Taj Mahal floating down the river Thames.

London begins its Indian summer with the unveiling of an intricate replica of India’s most exquisite landmark and amazing embleml of eternal love, the Taj Mahal.

This look-alike of the monument of love, Taj Mahal floated down the river Thames in London to mark the launch of India Now Festival on Tuesday.

Over 1500 events, showcasing Indian culture will be organised during this festival aimed at strengthening ties between UK and India.

A number of celebrities such as actor Shilpa Shetty, artist Suchi Chidambara and also the Mayor Ken Livingstone graced the launch.

With this three month long festival, India now seeks to strengthen the Indo-U K bond. - DDNEWS India
