Independent Security Evaluators is a company that tests computer hardware by hacking it. So ISE has hacked iPhone.
The company announced that it took a week to hack the famous iPhone. The hole is its Wi-Fi connection port or its web surfing habit. Company representative demonstrated iPhone’s web browser. He went to his own website with a malicious code.
A small part of the hacking code was injected into the smart phone. After, the phone was completely under his control. The representative could request e-mail addresses, contacts, and any other information about its owner’s activity. Hacking the iPhone he could get anything about its user.
Hackers all around the world were trying to find phone’s hole. Most of them were trying AT&T to inject hacker programs into the mobile. But AT&T, iPhone’s exclusive service provider, didn’t allow any unwilling entrance to its system.
Independent Security Evaluators said it didn’t intend to show iPhone is easy to hack. They’re just doing their job, hacking hardware to find out if they are vulnerable or not.
Lynn Fox, Apple spokeswoman said, "Apple takes security very seriously and has a great track record of addressing potential vulnerabilities before they can affect users. We're looking into the report submitted by ISE and always welcome feedback on how to improve our security."
Apple announced that the company was unaware of such a hole, that none of its users complained on this matter. Now the company will work on a software patch to protect iPhone users’ privacy. HULIQ
