During taping for CBS ‘Late Show with David Letterman’ Drew Carey proudly announced: "It's a done deal. I'm the new host of 'The Price Is Right'”.
He said he won’t need much effort to host the game show: "All I'm doing is giving away prizes, and it's not even my money."
Among ‘The Price is Right’ host candidates CBS had Rosie O'Donnell, George Hamilton, and John O' Hurley. But the company chose Drew.
Drew’s career is impressive: he hosted his own ‘The Drew Carey Show’ at ABC, comedy ‘Whose Line Is It Anyway?’, and he was recently announced to host one of CBS’s game how ‘Power of 10’. ’Power of 10’ is scheduled to launch on August 7.
‘The Price is Right’, America's long-running game show, was previously hosted by Bob Barker, who was recently retired. Bob Barker, 83-year old, has been hosting the show for 35 years. He has been recruited at national television for 50 years.
Last year Barker announced about his intention to retire. On June 15 he ran his last show that will rerun until the next season.
