North Korea who has recently shelved its nuclear program is all set to have negotiation with other countries for its economic progress. Immediate neighbor south Korea is the rapid growing economy, two countries know the fact that their market is potential for other.
"We have come to a conclusion that we don't need these fruitless talks any more," said a clearly angry Kim Yong-chol, Chief North Korean Team.
The clash between two neighboring state never formally ended their 1950-1953 war ultimately came on table a step to ease tensions on the peninsula after Pyongyang began implementing a nuclear disarmament deal.
North to shut down its nuclear reactor and plant that produces plutonium for bombs as a part of an international deal reached in exchange for the South giving it 50,000 tonnes of heavy fuel oil. Two Koreas set aside propaganda war along the Demilitarized Zone(DMZ) barrier that carves them into sovereign states. With a set up of hot-lines to restrict clashes in disputed waters on the western peninsula.
"It is highly regrettable that we have to wrap up the three days of talks with no concrete results," said Jung Seung-jo, chief of the South's delegation.
Jung said North Korea would not back down in its call for a new sea border to replace the "Northern Limit Line," which is drawn by U.S.-led United Nations forces after the Korean War ended in a truce. The line is the de facto sea border.
An official of North Korea says this line is not valid or de jure and observes a notional frontier farther south. This has led to coast guard clashes in which many sailors from both sides have lost their life in recent years.
