It's Christmas Eve, Harry and Helen are really excited. Everything is in place: their stockings, a carrot for Rudolph, a glass of sherry and a mince pie for Father Christmas are laid out, the tree is all decorated, Twinkle Toes, the Christmas Fairy is missing. TWINKLE TOES THE CHRISTMAS FAIRY IS MISSING!!!! Oh no, without her Harry and Helen can expect no Christmas and that means NO PRESENTS!!!!
Come and join their journey as they discover that Christmas is about giving as well as taking. With Bob the Bauble, Tinselina, SupaStar and a dippy angel you can help them discover - WHO KIDNAPPED THE CHRISTMAS FAIRY? This show is packed with songs, dance and laughter and will really draw any child, of any age into a world of magic that's Christmas.
This play is performed by 8-13 year olds who are either new or old members of Llanover Hall's Youth Theatre and Art groups. The groups have devised the story themselves and a Costume and Prop-making group have designed and made all the costumes.
Open Door Theatre is a major project for young people run by the Performing Arts Department of Llanover Hall between now and Easter 2007. Our first show was a UV spectacular, performed by the 15-21 group. Our summer show was an interactive Murder-Mystery performed by 12-15 year olds. The whole project is funded by a grant from the National Lottery. It includes all the Drama age groups and leads to an extra theatre production each term. It costs only £1 to register and £1 per week after that so if you're interested, not only in acting but in writing, designing and the technical aspects of Theatre then just come along or ring Stuart at Llanover.
