The Riverfront, Barrats and Jungles have all come together to create a very special competition to find Newport's own real-life Cinderella. There is a very special pair of shoes lying in Barrats Shoe Shop in Newport City Centre waiting to be found. When these magic shoes are tried on, fit and are bought by the right young lady, they will win a host of prizes and become a princess for a day.
One lucky Newport shopper will be transformed into a real life Cinderella by winning a princess make-over at Jungles (worth £14.95) and a clothes voucher worth £20 to spend at Next to choose their dress to match their new shoes. Once they are all glammed up and dressed like a princes they then win a free family ticket (for up to four people) for the pantomime Cinderella (worth £43.50) and a chance to meet the cast after the show.
The traditional family pantomime Cinderella stars Pobol y Cwm and Emmerdale actor and recent Welsh BAFTA winner Brian Hibbard as an Ugly Sister, former Generation Game host and all round entertainer Isla St Clair as the Fairy Godmother and Barnaby as Buttons. Following the success of last year's Dick Whittington, this glittering version of Cinderella comes complete with a wonderful set and real snowfalls.
