The Smoking Gun website reported a celebrity porn broker dubbed the "Sultan of Sleaze" was arrested on Thursday over accusations he tried to sell Cruise a large cache of private photos from the actor's 2006 wedding for $1.4 million.
David Hans Schmidt, 47, is best known for arranging the sale of celebrity sex tapes and nude photos.
FBI spokesman Stephen Tidwell has named the second suspect as 33-year-old Mark Gittleman.
