The Finale of Age of Love begin by Jen and Amanda visiting Mark’s family. Mark seemed to have a very good family rooted with traditional values. The meeting was very good. Amanda was not talkative and actually did not know how to do the conversation, but that earned her some credit and the support of Mark’s mother. Jen was caring on the conversation.
Mark had 48 hours before making the final decision.
The first day he spent with Jen, taking her on an Italian boat (gondola) ride and having a dinner at a restaurant which was actually an aquarium. It was very unique.
The second day Mark spent with Amanda, taking her to see kangaroos and later taking her to a Japanese type of restaurant.
During the commercial the NBC guy wanted to make the audience think that the outcome was not what we all though was going to be with phrases like: “shocking finale” and “rethink what you think.” Majority of the audience would probably think that Mark was going to choose Amanda and with those phrases like “shocking” and “rethink” NBC just wanted to keep our attention. I thought that was a cheap way of capturing viewer’s attention, despite having a good show.

While Jen is a great woman with the necessary experience and attitude, Amanda truly deserved Mark’s love. She loved Mark and was jealous (while others were not) when Mark spent the night with Jen. This means she cared about the relationship that she was hoping to get into and meant hopefully long term serious relationship.
Good luck to Jen. She really deserves to find a great man and have a great family. Congratulations to Mark and Amanda and our happy wishes to them. Hope they can make a great family and have many children filled with love and happiness.

Mark lost Jen
Per your comment about Amanda deserving Mark's love because she got "jealous" that is a weak reason. Jealousy does not mean you love someone, it means you are insecure and possibly controling, which she was. From the begining she acted like her boyfriend was going out on her. She acted possessiver with a man she just met!
