Catalis® Accelerator™, the World's Premier Graphical Health Record, Wins Most Innovative Vertical Industry Software Award at theSoftwareCEO/ CompTIA Software Innovation Awards.
Austin, Texas - August 9, 2007 - Catalis, Inc., the developer of the world's first Graphical Health Record (EMR), the Catalis® Accelerator™, announced today that Accelerator™ was named "Most Innovative Vertical Industry Software" by the SoftwareCEO/ CompTIA Software Innovation Awards.
The annual SoftwareCEO/ CompTIA Software Innovation Awards recognize innovative software products and new business models in eight different categories. Award winners were selected by a panel of software industry executives, and judged on scope, impact and novelty. The awards were presented at CompTIA's Breakaway conference, the information technology industry's premier partnering and educational event, held earlier this month in Las Vegas.
"The intent of these awards is to recognize future industry leaders," says Dave Sommer, SoftwareCEO's publisher and organizer of the Innovation Awards. "The companies putting forth the most innovative products and services are going to be the leaders of the industry in the future."
"At Catalis, we are excited that Software CEO recognized that Accelerator™ delivers real value to doctors and patients," said Catalis CEO Dr. Randolph Lipscher. "Accelerator is so intuitive that physicians can learn how to use it immediately, allowing them to practice medicine as they were originally trained, and not hassling with clunky computers."
Accelerator replaces the traditional medical clipboard with tablet PC-based software that connects doctors to every aspect of the health care industry. The system requires no typing, and uses patent pending graphical software to expedite information flow from doctors into computers. Health professionals are able to handwrite their diagnoses as well as order lab tests, write prescriptions and schedule follow-up visits instantaneously.
In an industry where the usual learning curve for a system is at least six months, it takes an average of just one day to assimilate Accelerator into a practice. Accelerator is compatible with the majority of existing computer systems now installed in medical offices.
Over one hundred Catalis doctors, pharmacists and software developers have invested more than 200 man-years in the development of Accelerator.
Catalis Inc. is CCHIT CertifiedSM for Accelerator version 4.111, for CCHIT Ambulatory EHR 2006.
