The death has been announced of the governor of Yobe State in the Northern Nigeria, Mamman Bello Ali.

The death has been announced of the governor of Yobe State in the Northern Nigeria, Mamman Bello Ali. He died at the age of 50 in the Miami, Florida United States of America after an undisclosed illness.
Yobe State was created on the 27th of August, 1991.

It was carved out of the old Borno State by the former President Ibrahim Babangida’s administration.

The state shares borders with Bauchi, Gmobe, Jigawa and Niger Republic.
