As Family Research Council present hard evidence on voting, US Families have chance to review real picture of their representatives. FRC presented voting scorecard for each representative in relation to seven major issues. ÂÂ
First, is Repeal of Abortion Restriction on Military Facilities - lift the current ban on privately funded abortions at U.S. military facilities overseas.
Second, is Marriage Protection Amendment - amendment to US constitution to defend marriage between one man and one woman. House failed to agree to Amendment.
Third, is Pledge Protection Act, remove jurisdiction of federal court over cases involving Pledge of Allegiance.
Fourth, is Embryonic Stem Cell Research -,issue on government funding of stem cell research by destruction of human embryos, was vetoed by president George W.Bush. Than house voted to sustain the veto. ÂÂ
Fifth, is Child Interstate Abortion Notification Act, include parental notification of out-of-state minors.
Sixth, is Public Expression of Religion Act, use of legal fees and to threaten local and federal governments over establishment of religion cases, including Veteran memorials and display of The Ten Commandments.
Seventh, is Sponsorship of Marriage Protection Amendment. -US Constitution amendment and define marriage between one man and one woman.
It is clear that Republican majority was endorsing or co-sponsoring important pro-family issues.  Despite to most Democrats voting "nay"Â, some of the southern democrats were voting pro-life.  The real picture is such that many Democrats did not have any score. Often appearing pro-family and campaigning as such, democratic candidates vote against US family interests.
