The Grand Theatre is delighted to welcome back legendary entertainer Joe Longthorne and his special guests with three weeks of song and laughter in The Joe Longthorne Show from Wednesday 12th September to Saturday 29th September.
Joe's repertoire of voices is endless and includes hundreds of the world's top singers. However, he is perhaps best known for his impersonation of Tom Jones and Shirley Bassey – Shirley herself said: "Joe can do me better than I can do myself!"
Joe Longthorne began his career over three decades ago with appearances on Junior Showtime, followed by grounding on the tough Northern club circuit. His big break came in 1981 when he was a finalist on London Weekend Television's Search for a Star – this led to appearances at the London Palladium with Bob Hope and The Talk of the Town.
During his career, Joe has also received gold and platinum discs for his albums, enjoyed sell-out concerts at the Royal Albert Hall and toured Australia several times.
Joining Joe will be comedian and compère Maurice Grumbleweed - best known as "the straight one" in the Grumbleweeds, vivacious vocalist Leanne Fury - last seen at the Grand Theatre in Variety at Night during summer 2006, and Blackpool's brightest comedian Carl Schofield.
Tickets for The Joe Longthorne Show at the Grand Theatre, Blackpool from Wednesday 12th September to Saturday 29th September at 7.30pm are priced from only £18.50 and are on sale now from the Grand Theatre Box Office. First Child Free - subsequent children £6.50
