NYSE to suspend Hanover Compressor Company

The New York Stock Exchange announced today (August 20) that trading in the following related securities of Hanover Compressor Company:

· 8.625% Senior Notes due December 15, 2010 (Symbol HC10, CUSIP 410768AF2)

· 9% Senior Notes due June 1, 2014 (Symbol HC14, CUSIP 410768AG0)

will be suspended at the opening of business on August 21, 2007. Following suspension, application will be made to the Securities and Exchange Commission to delist the issues.

Hanover Compressor Company requested that the above securities be suspended due to the merger of Hanover Compressor Company with Universal Compression Holdings, Inc. which became effective on August 20, 2007 .

The New York Stock Exchange noted that it may, at any time, suspend dealings in a security if it believes that continued dealings in the security on the New York Stock Exchange are not advisable. -NYSE
