A 6.6 magnitude earthquakestruck hundreds kilometers off the northern Brazilian coast in the Atlantic Ocean while there has been no immediate warnings of a possible tsunami.
The quake, that struck on Monday, was located 1,455 kilometers north of Belem, in northern Brazil, at a depth of
10 kilometers, the USGS said in a statement.
There were no immediate warnings of a possible tsunami as a result of the tremor from the US National Weather Service Tsunami Centre. - DDNEWS
