AMTELCO, a leading provider of innovative contact center solutions, today announced that two solutions - it's web-based scripting and emergency notification applications - are compliant with key IP telephony and contact center solutions from Avaya, a leading global provider of business communications applications, systems and services.
AMTELCO's eCreator web-based scripting solution helps businesses increase the productivity of contact center agents by simplifying call processing. The application now is compliance-tested by Avaya for compatibility with Avaya Proactive Contact 3.0, a solution that automates outbound dialing and helps businesses reach more customers quickly and profitably.
The AMTELCO RED Alert Notification Solution helps businesses quickly communicate in times of crisis. The application now is compliance-tested by Avaya for compatibility with Avaya Communication Manager 3.1.2, an industry-leading IP telephony application.
One of the companies benefiting from the interoperability of solutions from AMTELCO and Avaya is Anne Arundel Medical Center (AAMC), a premier regional health system in Maryland. The organization has added AMTELCO's RED Alert to its Avaya communications network.
"RED Alert performed flawlessly through both the notification and the confirmation process and gave us the ability to provide our first responders with all the information they needed to effectively implement our emergency plans," said Kevin Burns, telecommunications manager at AAMC.
"All of us here at AMTELCO are delighted with the successful compliance testing of our RED Alert and eCreator applications," said AMTELCO President Tom Curtin. "Our customers reap the benefits when we partner with innovative, forward-looking technology companies with the common goal of providing open platforms and proven applications."
AMTELCO is a member of the Avaya DeveloperConnection Program - an initiative to develop, market and sell innovative third-party products that interoperate with Avaya technology and extend the value of a company's investment in its network.
As a gold member of the program, AMTELCO is eligible to submit products for compatibility testing by the Avaya Solution Interoperability and Test Lab in Lincroft, N.J. There a team of Avaya engineers develops a comprehensive test plan for each application to verify whether it is Avaya compliant. Doing so ensures businesses can confidently add best-in-class capabilities to their network without having to replace their existing infrastructure - speeding deployment of new applications and reducing both network complexity and implementation costs.
"By offering compliance testing to the many innovative companies like AMTELCO who are members of our DeveloperConnection program, Avaya promotes fully interoperable solutions that help businesses unleash powerful new possibilities," said Eric Rossman, vice president, developer relations and technical alliances, Avaya. "They are able to use Intelligent Communications to connect employees and customers to information from wherever they are, over whatever device they have available - getting more out of their multivendor network and delivering new value to their bottom line."
