Lamb’s Players Theatre Presents ‘An Ideal Husband’

Finishing up the season is Oscar Wilde’s classic, An Ideal Husband. Robert Chiltern is the ideal husband, presented by Lamb’s Players Theatre. Or so his wife believes. But a dinner guest arrives with information about his past that could lead to either blackmail or scandal. Oscar Wilde’s wit is at its best in this engaging portrait of secrets, compromise, and reconciliation.

“Oscar Wilde is one of the great theatrical voices of the modern era,” says Smyth. “His plays are a delight for the ear and the eye, as well as for the mind. His work always has something important to say, and it never ceases to be anything but unadulterated fun. It’s a rare combination.”

An Ideal Husband will be directed by Associate Artistic Director Kerry Meads, and will play October 5—November 18, 2007, with a media opening on October 12. -- www.lambsplayers.org
