Studio Arena Theatre is proud to present the world premiere comedy, DON’T TALK TO THE ACTORS by Buffalo’s own, Tom Dudzick.
DON’T TALK TO THE ACTORS is a hilarious comedy that depicts the story of a young Buffalo playwright who is thrust into the high stakes, big money, ego driven world of Broadway after being discovered by a big-time producer. Come see how the best-laid plans go awry when the people involved only think of themselves and turn to bribery, temptation and chaos to get what they want.
Dudzick has brought three other world premieres to Studio Arena Theatre including HAIL MARY and the smash hit, OVER THE TAVERN. He refers to Studio Arena as his “artistic home” and his performances are always well-received by Buffalo audiences. This production is truly the product of a special relationship between a playwright and the theatre.
“We could not be more excited to have another Tom Dudzick production on our stage,” said Studio Arena Theatre’s CEO & Artistic Director, Kathleen Gaffney. “Tom has had a very close working relationship with the Theatre in the past, bringing five productions to our stage, three of them being world premieres. I am looking forward to continuing to strengthen this long standing relationship which has given us the opportunity to send terrific productions on to other regional theatres.”
Featuring an All-Star cast including Denny Dillon, best known for her role on Saturday Night Live, Richard Kline, who played Larry on television’s Three’s Company and Broadway veteran, Lewis J. Stadlen. DON’T TALK THE ACTORS will be on stage at Studio Arena September 11 – October 7, 2007. A special Curtain Up! Performance will be held on Friday, September 14, 2007. -- www.studioarena.org
