
The Panorama Film Series at The Cleveland Museum of Art (CMA) welcomes cinematographer Stefan Czapsky in person on Friday, August 31 following the screening of Edward Scissorhands, which Czapsky shot.
“Edward Scissorhands” is directed by Tim Burton, with Johnny Depp, Winona Ryder, Dianne Wiest and Vincent Price. Cleveland-born, CWRU-educated cameraman Stefan Czapsky, a member of the American Society of Cinematographers (his credits include The Thin Blue Line, Batman Returns, Ed Wood, and the recent Blades of Glory), will answer audience questions after a screening of a modern classic that he photographed.
The film is a touching romantic fantasy about a sensitive, man-made boy who lives in a gloomy mansion and has shears for hands. USA, 1990, color, 35mm, 100 min.
